At the K‐2 grade levels, teachers work closely with parents/guardians to ensure that a schedule is created and that parents/guardians have all supplemental materials and knowledge needed to guide students throughout the day.
Students independently complete their activities through our interactive resources in reading, math, and science daily. Our Paragon curriculum, which also integrates math and reading, provides more of a hands-on experience through project-based learning. Students have the opportunity to meet with their teacher and classmates each day through our web conferencing program. Through these daily interactions with their peers and teacher, students are able to develop a strong sense of community with each other. A typical day will include the following breakdown of time: 120 minutes of Language Arts, 90 minutes of Math, 90 minutes of Paragon, and 60 minutes of Science.
All curriculum is fully aligned with state and national (Common Core) standards. Students will master benchmarks through an engaging program that addresses the following content areas:
Students will also receive instruction in the areas of world languages and the arts.

Class Sessions
Students in grades K‐2 meet with their teacher each morning to discuss the assignments for the day. Students are given an opportunity to interact with the teacher and with each other by using the tools available during the live web conferencing sessions. Throughout the day, students work on their assignments with the help and guidance of both their teacher and parent/guardian. At the end of each day, K-2 students participate in individual progress sessions with the teacher to ensure students have successfully completed the day’s lessons.
Mosaica Online Academy of Arizona differentiates instruction based on grade level. Lower grades receive more individualized support from teachers while higher grades have the ability to work independently on many assignments.
